Annual Blackfoot Community Conservation Area Field Tour
The public is welcome! The BCCA Council is following Phase 2 reopening guidelines by practicing social distancing and requiring all tour attendees to drive their own vehicles. Dinner will be provided at the Blackfoot Challenge’s Ovando office after the tour.
Tour discussion topics will include: forestry and grazing management, prescribed fire, fuel reduction, public recreation, wildlife and education.
The BCCA encompasses 41,000 acres of Federal, State and private land north of Ovando. The 5,600-acre core area is owned by the Blackfoot Challenge and managed for a variety of uses by a 15-member community council. Learn more about the BCCA here.
